The journey from Aim to Build (or A to B for short)

Staatsbrauerei Rothaus knew they needed a new marketing tool, all it took was turning the ignition to figure out what that tool should be.

Rothaus mentioned to us that they wanted to bring their beers to a wider audience. We went away, thought about it and came back to them with an idea on how to achieve this. Rather than slamming the brakes on, they put the pedal to the metal.

Tradition and innovation

We knew that with this van, we needed it to make a statement. We were inspired by how Rothaus make traditional beers, using the most modern technology. as our guide for developing the project. The best way to introduce new customers to Rothaus is to put a beer in their hand, so we decided to take an old-timer van and fit it with a modern bar, this way Rothaus could come directly to new customers with a vehicle that is eye-catching outside and in.

Dream Machine

Working closely with the client, we drew up a wish list of features for the bar on wheels. Then budget consciously, we set about planning the van interior. The aim; to create a space that felt modern but also practical and fully functioning as a bar. The spec included incorporating LED lighting, electrical outlets, refridgeration, a sink unit, accessible and easy operate crate storage and space to hold folding tables and stools. For the exterior, Rothaus were able to provide us with some vintage logos from their archive to add to the authentic retro look of the van.

Happy customers, happy client

Our partners in the project, took the old-timer and not only sensitively restored its exterior to its former glory (maybe even better?), but they also took care and precision in building a fully functional bar on the inside. Naturally, Rothaus were very happy, perhaps just as happy as the customers who received an ice cold Tannenzäpfle from the bar in a van.
