As part of the renovation of their HQ in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, GF asked Siegelwerk to design and develop a showcase display for their three main divisions, GF Piping Systems, GF Casting Solutions and GF Machining Solutions.
To be placed in the reception foyer, each unit needed to be easily updated with new innovations or products representing the GF divisions. Initially a classic waiting area was also planned with lounge chairs and planters. Our approach was to bring these elements together and incorporate seating with the displays, essentially inviting waiting visitors directly into the exhibition.
Inspired by the beautiful wooden curve of the reception desk, our design set out to create not only a pedestal for the product, but also a pedestal for GF’s sustainability goals and over 200 years experience behind the innovation. By creating three interlocking circular columns, we could showcase the product, an interactive information point and casual seating area with greenery.
